This book is very action packed but don't be fooled by its old appearance; it is based around the victorian times you may be put off by this but by the first chapter she is serching for the dimond!The story is about a girl called Catherine but lots of people call her Cat there is rumor that there is a hidden dimond down her lane.Cats back ground is that she was dropped on a the doorstep of the theatre where she now lives.During the book she faces many twists and turns and a huge unexpected  turn in events during the end.This is a pationate  book full of friendship and faite.THIS IS A MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

journey to the river sea is a book about a girl called maia who's parents are dead and to her it looks like the end of the world. But then she gets a letter from some mysterious relations who live in the Amazon and Maia and her weird nanny miss Minton stet out on a journey across the world. She had dreams about her Aunt, Uncle and 2 twin cosines to be the most kind and caring people ever but when she eventually gets therre she has different ideas about them .

when she is there she meets some interesting people including the servents of her Aunt and Uncle ( mr carter and mrs carter,) and a very young king this book is an exiting adventure story and i think it is one of the best books i have ever read

I really liked this book because as soon as you pick it up and start to read it, it is almost impossible to put it down!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid the cheese tuch Jeff Kinney T.B

Greg Heffley was having a good time in 6th Grade with his best friend Rowley. Now he is in 7th  Grade he is finding it very hard without his bested friend Rowley. SO! at the moment he's stuck in the middle school with a bunch of morons.After a while he and Rowley have become mates again and this Halloween was probably the worst. They were chased by some teenagers round the neighbourhood. Greg and Rowley entered for the resealing but it was a Lot different than they thought. It was Christmas and Greg got the most lamest stuff ever. The worst was probably the weight set from his dad. then his Mum made him enter in the Alice and Wonderland play at school. All the girls think that Greg is a dork and in 6th Grade all the glirs like the fast boys which real there was only one. He was Ronnie McCoy. Soot!!  Rowley has now got a new friend called Collin and they sorrels went over the top with best friends shirts which stink because they whear them every day!!!! Greg tried to make a friends but the only person he could find was Fregley. But that didn't wherec at all. It was snowing and Greg and Rowley are friends again. They always have wanted to make the worlds biggest snowman but it wasn't this year. There was a carton competition and Greg was chosen but the headmaster had meast it all up so I quite.

First of all she looses her best friend, second she gets bullied by a huge girl called Martha! Martha teases her by saying that Ella's mum is just laying there like a vegetable.
 At the moment Ella's life is miserable, because of what I just said: she has lost her best friend, she is getting bullied at school and she lives with her step dad who she hates till the end!
 Ella meets a new friend (Joseph) and together they make a beautiful tudor project.
 And on her own Ella makes a lovely whale project.
 When Ella finds the longest whale song she plays it to her mother. She slowly comes back!

  America.My favourite character is Elsie Katy's younger sister.Katy has to stay in bed and she does
  not know for how long.She is upset about this fact until her cousin Helen comes to stay. Helen has also had
 to be in bed but has been there a long time longer than Katy.She knows what it is like to be stuck in bed
and comforts her younger cousin.I thought the book had an excellent story because it gave a desciptive background.

Be prepared for an action pack story's ,their is death , people getting kicked in prison  , car chasing ,cheating on girlfriends,a shoot out .When James has to go under cover in the biggest prison in the would.he has to make mates with a 13 year old boy called Curtis who has shot 7 people. James is finding it very hard to cope .James and Curtis become grate mates, James allmost got stabed in the neck but his brother jumped on the boy  who was going to kill james,Curtis is now coferdont about the brake out becaus James has put 2 people in the prison hospital.when james and Curtis bust out thay have to kill a gurd on ther way befor thay get to the mane deask thay have to whare a gard's cloths but just before thay get out a speaker comes on thay have to fake there voise. The white giraffe is an adventure story.The main character is called Martine she is eleven ,when she goes to live on a game reserve in Africa,because unfortunately her house burnt down in the middle of the night with her family in there but she woke up when the smoke was entering her room and she climbed out her room and down the ivy clawing up the house and then she ran to her next door neighbours and called 999 but it was to late. Her closest relitive was her relitive in Africa.She read a myth about the white griaffe and she thought she was him on a stormy night . Nobody beileves Martine that she saw the white giraffe but she has to keep her secret or the pochers will be after the creature.In this story there is a lady called Grace and she is good friends with Martine and she belives in the white giraffe and she said "there is a gift you can be a blessin with this gift  or a cures and you have to be careful ".

The Recruit is about a boy called James he has a mom that has people to steal (shop lift) for her and he has a sister that likes sports but he has  a step dad that drinks and smokes and after he really hearts a girl really badly. He gets expelled from the school and after his mom goes to the Doctor but after she was not aloud to drink but she still does and dies then Ron takes Lauren to his house and then James went to a foster home and meets a person how works for cherub and then James had to do a 100 day  course and maid it but just barley maid it alive on his wild advenchers.

Review

I thought the book was excellent.It was punchy and exciting full of great stuff, especially when the disaster comes.It gets so addicting and James Adams makes it really funny.

But I would not suggest that younger readers read it.It's a bit rude, but if your parents let you i would definitely suggest it you would really wish it was true.

Tales Of Terror From The Tunnel's Mouth (MW)

Tales Of Terror From The Tunnel's Mouth is a horror book. It contains lots of short, scary stories which build up to an overall horror story. It is set at a railway station where a boy is visiting his Grandmother who lives in Devon. He gets on the train where a strange white woman is sitting, who tells him stories to scare him. Some of the short stories they don't get exciting until the end, but overall it is a very good book and I would advise reading it.

Toro Toro Michael Morpurgo (JMCB)

Toro Toro is a great but sad, a good descriptive book about a boy, Antonito, who lives with his parents in Spain. He realises his calf, Paco, is destined to be in the bullring this will mean he will die. But the echoeing of the war in 1936 of the great plains of Spain begins. Antonito has an idea to save him, but he is not allowed to see Paco until he is in the bullring.

Running Wild by Michel Morpurgo (B.B)

One boy,Tom, and his Mum went to Africa.He does not have father as he is was killed in the war.He was bombed in a car.He is living in a hotel.One morning he goes on a elephant ride.The elephant runs away into the jungle and gets lost.He gets scared because there are strange noises.His mum gets lots of flowers because he is lost.He gets kidnapped and he is going to get eaten by a tiger.I felt sad but at the end it was happy.I thik it is a good book.

Skulduggery pleasant by Derek Landy (WRW)

Skulduggery Pleasant is a good book about a 500 year old skeleton and a thirteen year old girl called Valkyrie. It is placed in Dublin written in the current day.
Skulduggery is very mysterious and saves the world from evil and he was in prison.
My thoughts were worried and mysterious. I wondered what was going to happen next.
Skulduggery can make fire balls come out of his hands and Valkyrie doesn't know what's happening and who she is.

The evil villain is called Vengeous is the biggest thief and he pretty much knows about everything.

I think you should read Skulduggery Pleasant.

Mondays are Murder by Tanya Landman (P.T)

Mondays are Murders is a horror story and an adventure!The main character is called Poppy Fields and she does not believe in ghosts, zombies or  phantoms. But it was almost the end of their summer holiday and her mum has a friend who is handing out a free holiday place at an activity center on a  Scottish island .When she gets to this remote island, people start dropping dead everywhere .Graham and Poppy start investigating and they see right through it .But she thought she was going to faint when she came face to face with a ghost.The ghost was one of his friends.He was back from the dead .This is a good story if you like horror stories.There are lots of deaths and creepy noises . I recommend this book because it has a great story line and it has good description .

James has  hydrophobia. His mum died because she took alcohol and pills together. James went to a children's home called  Nebraska . There was a boy called Kyle who works for CHERUB which is a British intelligence agency for kids and tries to recruit James . James is not to sure on the idea but takes the chance . When he gets to the CHERUB campus, he gets a room with a tv, computer, bath, microwave, fridge and a double bed . He has to swim 50 metres  to go on basic training , but he has a fear of water. James just swims 50 metres so he can go on basic training . Will James survives basic training and go on any missions?

My Review 

The Recruit is a very well written it is very exciting and funny.Any boy between  10 to 15 will love this book . I recommend this book.
